Let's get into it!      I'll use this platform to spread my voice on various topics, including but not limited to: Politics Animals Nature World Events LGBTQ+ Movies Games Books Mental Health Women's Rights Human Rights Travel     If any of these topics appeal to you, I hope you stick around! I want to build a community and safe space, as well as use my voice to spread awareness on what kind of things are happening around the world. Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Life has been a whirlwind for me lately with school and work taking off. I've kept my eyes on the news recently, watching the things that are happening around our country. So far, it's all been expected. I've also had my eyes on the weather events happening here in America. There have been several snow storms and destruction following those storms. My heart goes out to the families affected by those storms, especially the families still recovering in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene. I'll list links at the bottom of this post if you'd like to look into how you can help those people.      Next order of business, let me shift over to a more personal matter. Recently I had the opportunity to visit Tennessee. It was my first time getting to visit it, and its lovely. The mountains are beautiful and we got dustings of snow throughout the week I was there. Due to the weather, we ended up having our plans rearranged because of the ice on ...

A Sad Day For America

Image
I have been in tears all day. My heart is broken for our community, our county, and our nation. Democracy has spoken, and their opinions are valid. However, this has opened the gateway for so much destruction for our entire planet. So many people will die due to this decision. So many women, children, trans people, gay people, black people, and other races are in danger now because of this. Our planet is in danger now because of this. After all of the officials that worked with Donald Trump previously said not to let this man in, that he was a dictator and a cruel man. People still voted him in. 71 million people still voted him in. They voted in a convicted felon- a rapist, into office. If you are a felon, you are not allowed to vote, but he was. If you are a convicted felon it affects your prospects of getting a job, yet he was voted into the biggest most powerful job in the United States. The entire world is looking at us in shock right now. To say I'm distraught...

2024 Election

This is a heavy subject for my first post, but it is very relevant to our current reality. So, I bring into discussion the elections.       Elections have always confused me. People get so excited and passionate, wearing their "I Voted" stickers and adding the little boarder around their Facebook profile picture to show the world. Now, don't get me wrong, elections are vital parts to our Democracy and give the people the ability to voice their opinions. It gives the people a voice, and lets them know that their voices matter. It would be much better if said elections weren't skewed and manipulated as often as they are by people in positions of power, but I digress.      Today was my first time voting. Its in one of the closest races we've had in a long while between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. I went with my mother to the polls. The entrance was lined with different signs rooting for their choice of candidate, all across the yar...
